February 14, 2023 – Valentine’s Day

Many couples signed up for renewing their wedding vows on Valentine’s Day.  The Captain held a very nice ceremony in the atrium.  Beautiful flowers and music.  Several couples were married before I was born ;). I told Bob, no need to participate in the ceremony, I meant my vows the first time.

The choir gathered on multiple levels and sang a few romantic, love songs.  The Captain said ‘repeat after me’….their renewal of vows and then a flood of red hearts came floating from the sky.  Bob and I were riding the glass elevator in the atrium so we had a nice view of the red hearts floating everywhere.

We had a lovely Valentine’s dinner in the dining room with our friend Martha.  Although we missed our port in New Zealand, it was a beautiful day and we’re now ahead of the cyclone.
