(Note: originally written in 2019. We’ve now been together 32 years and going strong. Will work to catch up on some of our adventures).

November 2019: Bob and I started our wild journey over 26 years ago. We’re blessed to be together and appreciate that we are so compatible (thus the reason we’ve been together 26 years). We love to travel and experience different cultures, explore far away lands and meet interesting people. We’ve traveled throughout the beautiful US and especially admire our National Parks. We’ve also explored many places overseas (Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia) but have always been restricted by that darn thing called a job (haha).

Two years ago, as I was contemplating retirement, Bob and I decided we would like to become snowbirds in 2020. After a short period of searching for our snowbird destination, I discovered a unique way to experience winter. Believe the conversation went like this – “honey, how would you like to go on a World Cruise”? “Sure” he replied. I’m not sure he was really listening but knew it would be a good laugh once he realized I booked it. The official email said 550 days until your cruise (lots of time, right). Well, that year and a half flew by and I officially retired just a few weeks ago. I’ve had several people express interest in following our journey, thus ‘bobandkarenswildhairjouney’ was born.
