…and so it begins

The Pacific Princess

January 5, 2020 – when I booked this cruise over a year and a half ago, I thought we have a long time before we leave for this adventure. The months flew by and here ‘we’ are (Bob, Groot and I).

The World Cruise began in Ft Lauderdale, FL and we are taking the roundtrip voyage around the world in 111 days. We’ve been on this ship before and liked the small ship atmosphere (670 passengers). We didn’t realize the majority of the people on the ship are only on one segment (not roundtrip). First segment is 15 days from FL through the Panama Canal and disembarking in LA. Second segment ends in Australia, third ends in South Africa and final in Ft Lauderdale.

We’ve met several people that have been on 4 or 5 World Cruises. I had no idea that is ‘trip of a lifetime’ was a normal vacation for some. What!?! lol.

This is the final ‘World Cruise’ for the Pacific Princess so they are making it extra special.

Currently sailing near Cuba. Beautiful blue sky and water. We can see some tall mountains on the eastern end of the island. ‘Gitmo’ is around the corner.

This is what 4 months of luggage looks like.
Hang-on Groot, we’re almost there!
Same staircase we stood on in 1999.
So it’s Monday morning and I had this feeling that I should go to work. Presentation at 10 am. Yes, you read this right! Is there something wrong with me!?! Bob said I need more practice at ‘retirement’. I know what day of the week it is AND I thought this would be an interesting presentation. AND, it was!

Happy New Year everyone! Wish you all a healthy, happy 2020 full of love and laughter.
