Wait, What?! No February 7th!

Monday, February 6, 2023

As our journey gradually moves westward, we continue to change our clock 1-hour back each time we cross a time zone.  We’ve enjoyed gaining hours one after another.

Monday evening, February 6th, we went to bed late and poof, we wake up to find it’s Wednesday, February 8th.  Lol.  So, we knew this would happen when crossing the international date line, but it’s still weird when you skip a whole day on the calendar.  If your birthday was February 7th, I’m not sure if that person was happy to skip that day or sad.  😉

We were pretty faithful in watching our time when texting with people back home.  We were 6 hours ahead and then we skipped a day.  Now, it’s ‘yesterday’ back home (today is Sunday here but Saturday back home).  Eastern time zone in the US is yesterday minus 18 hours (7:30 pm at home on Saturday and 1:30 pm on Sunday for us).  For those of you that are football fans, it means our Super Bowl is really on Monday, not Sunday.

O, I just noticed, we left on the 5th of January….1 month gone already.  Time does fly when you’re having fun!
